ESL-2912 celebrates a classic design.

Using the signature mylar diaphragm, yet while re-evaluating all circuitry and components, the result 
is an authentic ESL experience – incredible full range accuracy and startling realism.

The ESL-2912 by Quad is their top-end electrostatic loudspeaker.

The original ESL is a most iconic loudspeaker: The world’s first full-range, ultra-low distortion 
electrostatic loudspeaker, which set standards for accuracy and fidelity in loudspeakers that remain 
unsurpassed to this day.

A labour of love for founder Peter Walker, the ESL-57, as it came later to be known, is still revered by 
audiophiles all over the world.

ESL is the complete embodiment of the Quad company ethos – "The Closest Approach To The Original 
Sound" – reproducing a sound which is indistinguishable from having the performers right there in 
front of you. The latest models (ESL-2912 and ESL-2812) have built on the original concept with 
improved efficiency.

材料與結構說明

材料
ESL靜電揚聲器内部由6片靜電片 組成,每片靜電片就是由中央振膜 加上前,後金屬網Slator 最後 在以前、後白色塑膠框架。 而振膜上面施加「Progressive Concentric Rings, 同心圓結構 方式來調整振膜的時間延遲。另外 Slator也改良了塗裝方式與配方, 提升絕緣能力與更耐潮濕,也一舉 增加動態範圍與更大發聲能量。 一掃過往靜電不能開大聲的印象。

外觀
ESL靜電揚聲器的外觀有如門板, 深灰金融外框搭配黑色網罩、内 沉運就如QUAD品牌形象深具古典 無息。荊面QUAD 商標。由後底座 的亮度調整鈕控制,開啟打亮後更 顯優雅的氛圍。

背板設計
ESL靜電揚聲器面有一根深灰金屬 支柱,撐住後仰3度的框架,同時也 抑制框架的振動,底座内部是升壓 電路與變壓器,由於必須提供電源 才能動作,所以有電源母座插孔。

電路設計
底座內電路主要由升壓器及充電線 路板組成。升壓器共3颊,提供 Stator高達5千伏正/負高電壓已 作動振膜發聲。 改良型的5000V EHT (Extra High Tension) 充電 線路板 重新Layout 使零件與零件 之間的電路板表面距離增加,去除 相互間的干擾,提升絕緣程度。
