Paradigm的monitor 系列的高音單體全部使用純鈦金屬作為振膜，原廠稱之為「H-PTD」單體。「H-PTD」為High-Efficiency Pure-Titanium Domes的縮寫，從字面上就可以知道高音採用純鈦作為振膜，取其質量輕、剛性高的特色，並且刻意設計成高輸出的版本，原廠宣稱這樣的設計比許多高價High End喇叭的高音單體還好。

加拿大Paradigm是一家技術底子深厚的喇叭專業廠家，他們所推出的產品總是有有著超值的評價，連美國Audio Magazine的編輯Corey Greenberg聽過Mini Monitor之後，直接給了這樣的評語：「我聽過其他定價超過2000美金，但一樣使用6吋中低音的兩音路書架喇叭，聲音表現還比不上Mini Monitor！」嘿！這Mini Monitor可真的是越級挑戰喔。

說Paradigm技術底子厚，是因為他們從單體、分音器到箱體全部自己來，而不是買外面現成的零件來組裝。Mini Monitor是一款很典型的兩音路低音反射式喇叭，搭載1吋H-PTD高音單體，加上6.5吋M-ICP振膜中低音單體，這兩個單體都是 Paradigm的獨門技術。原廠標示的頻率響應是70Hz~20kHz，看起來不算特別驚人，但是這個測試數據標準是+/-2dB的範圍，比一般測試標 準還要嚴苛。如果用比較寬鬆的標準來測量，Paradigm給了另外一個數字，這Mini Monitor的低頻延伸最低可達43Hz，以書架喇叭而論，確實不簡單了。

Mini Monitor的效率不錯，原廠標示92dB，建議搭配擴大機為15∼150瓦，阻抗8歐姆，此外原廠還有專屬腳架可以搭配。從外觀上而言，Mini Monitor顯得有些保守，但Paradigm可是把好技術都放進Mini Monitor裡面，而且想盡辦法用最合理的價格供應市場，對於「重內涵」的玩家而言，Paradigm不會讓你失望的。

Sophisticated crossovers in an affordable audiophile product! Again, it’s almost unheard of: polypropylene film or bipolar electrolytic capacitors, air core and laminated core inductors, high-power resistors. Crossover topologies are first and second-order with corresponding acoustic slopes of second and third-order providing optimal bandwidth and seamless integration as drivers cross over.
