ELAC - FS 207 A

To celebrate ELACs 80th anniversary, it has been introduced the FS 207 A in a new design. This beautiful 2½-way floorstander of the 200 series in bass reflex design is developed for free-standing setup in rooms.

Its high-efficiency also makes the FS 207 A suitable for large rooms. The FS 207 A produces outstanding sound. With two bass drivers, this speaker creates high maximum sound levels and impressive deep bass sound.

Technical features/benefits:

•Powerful-driven new JET-III tweeter with neodymium magnet system. Due to its ribbon geometry, it provides a cut-off frequency of 50 kHz (!) and improved sound radiation. The inner damping enables perfect linear frequency response.

• Innovative 150 mm concave high-power aluminium woofer with broad rubber surround. With a special glueing procedure,  a 0.2 mm aluminium layer is bonded to a pulp fibre cone to form a sandwich diaphragm. Perfect tension of the diaphragm, resulting in perfect largesignal behaviour; dampening on the back of the diaphragm for strong bass 

• computer-optimized cross-over network for improved sound power to provide for optimum and homogenous directional characteristic regarding the frequency range 

• all drivers are protected from overload

• MDF cabinet design (medium density fibre board, density: 800 kg/m3) with additional reinforcements for minimum resonances. 

• Another feature is ELAC’s superior bi-wiring terminal with separate circuit boards for bass and treble circuits. The inclined binding posts are easy to access and allow larger cable diameters (16 qmm), as well as high-quality spade ends (e. g. WBT products). 

• The FS 207 A is available with plinth and new ELAC spikes/  silicone feet
